Private Lessons

If you wish to supplement your group classes with private lessons, or simply prefer to learn on a one-to-one basis, these are available most evenings & Saturday mornings, & can be arranged direct with the tutor to suit your needs.

Professional Coaching

For the keen dancer who might be interested in teaching dance as a profession. Coaching can be arranged on a private basis covering IDTA syllabus work in a selection of dance styles.

Examinations

We believe that exams are an excellent way of measuring your learning, and give you goals to aim for. We encourage students to consider taking examinations with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers' Association - the largest dance association in the world) to boost their confidence and gain recognition. Exam sessions for adults & children are held on a termly basis, but are not compulsory. Opportunities exist to progress from beginners through to professional status.

Footwear

In the interest of safety we recommend that you wear the correct dance shoes appropriate to the dance style, and that you obtain the expert advice of your tutor regarding style & fit so that you can make an informed choice.

Social Life

Here at Shandaw School of Dance we organise a variety of Social Nights, Themed Parties, & Presentation Evenings where students receive well deserved exam awards & certificates. Students appreciate the privileges extended to them to attend Dance Exhibitions, Competitions, & Dinner Dance Cabarets where they can see World Professional Dance Champions perform up close & personal.

Adult Taster Evenings

Not sure which dance styles you'd like to learn? Come & try them before you decide. Designed to offer you and your friends an introduction to several dance styles at a discounted price, these sessions are held at regular intervals throughout the year. No experience necessary. Charity Events/Fundraisers

Want to raise funds for your school, business or association? Then why not hold a Salsa Night or an evening of Rock n Roll? We will provide an evening of expert tuition & great fun in any dance style, at a venue of your choice. Let us show you how successful an evening can be.
